The Queen of Pentacles

The Queen of Pentacles rules my 4th house.

i was in the mood to do a tarot reading today. I observed my talisman's one by one and did a mini meditation in appreciation for these talisma's which I link to beautiful memories, such as:

1. the 1921 photo of my grandmother in a fancy dress where she is age 15. I think of her great ability to love. She was a Leo. 
2. a white quartz crystal believed to have a strong positive energy,
3. a baby abalone shell holds sacred ocean memories of where i found it on the shore 45 years ago.
4. a tiny tree ornament of a gingerbread cottage represents winter and warmth and the coziness of a happy home.
5. a tomato pin cushion reminds me of designer sewing skills I learned from my mom and grandma and other teachers
6. a lavender scented candle from a daughter-in-law reminds me of her love and generousity and i love lavender 
7. a beautiful lobster magnet with crystal eyes from my daughter on her business trip to Rhode Island's coastal towns.

the reading went so well that now i want to talk about how this was accomplished. step 1) i shuffled the cards using a smooshing technique where all the cards are spread out face-down thoroughly swirled around in circular motions and gentle sweeping movements. step 2) as i am smooshing the deck i am meditating from "heart intelligence" of a clear positive intention. after the cards are well shuffled, a selection of 5 cards is drawn. the cards are still face down and i feel an energy its that heart intelligence and in my intuitive sense the meaning comes together by looking at the talisman symbols on the table, i am trusting all the instincts, about to be awakened and yet keeping the original question in focus. which was: how can i set myself on a creative life path? i am so surprised and delighted by what cards turn over that massive waves of goose bumps roll up my back over my shoulders and down my arms. the five cards drawn are turned over as follows:

1. The Ace of Swords: ability to analyze articulate with self-awareness and integrity. this card highlights "the moment" when an idea becomes clear. (Air Signs Triplicity)
2. The Star: embodies protection, intuition, the ability to believe and have faith. to "a dream of possibilities comes true" (Aquarius)
3. The Queen of Pentacles: this Queen has domain over Capricorn in Tarot she is directly associated with themes of the material realm, embodying Saturn’s discipline, Venus’s warmth, and the Earth’s sustaining power — a sovereign whose authority is measured not by command, but by the steady, reliable comforts of creating an earthy abundant venus ruled 4th house (Nadir in Astrology)
4. The Magician #1 Major Arcana card: oracle says: "Success is guaranteed by what we think say and do". The magician card indicates "mastery of ideas and action" The Magician holds mastery over all elements: {Fire, Earth, Air, Water} He channels divine energy into material reality. The magician's power is self contained and renewable. the Magician’s symbols teach that manifestation is possible when you combine will, skill, and clarity — and that you already possess everything you need to succeed. (The Natal Chart).
   
5. The Queen of Swords: The Queen of Swords embodies true intellectual clarity, emotional balance, and unyielding truth. Her strength lies in a steady mix of sharp discernment, principled independence, and the ability to cut right through illusion to what is real. (Grand Trine in Air).
